Alright, finally got internet access out here in lovely Tracy, CA...not so lovely btw.

So there have only been 25 people to vote on the weekends, pretty close between the 13th and the 20th. I was hoping we could pull some more people into this. I am wondering if I should send out the PM message again? Anyone think of anything we can do to bring more interest to the table on this?

I am looking for any help or suggestions here, I want this to be successful, and with only 25 people voted in total if we got 10 people together I would be surprised. Not that that wouldn't still be fun, but are you Indy guys or people coming from a distance really going to come if its only 10-15 people?

So again, please get in touch with people you know around the area, point them this way, get them to pick a weekend. Whats the feeling on sending the PM again? I dont want to start annoying people...

Maybe post this topic in another thread (like general aquaria discussion or something) with a link to this thread for others to vote. IDK tho, the moderators might move it...But its worth a try. With all the Chi people on MFK, it seems the only reason there are not more responses is because people haven't read the thread. Just my thoughts...

Well I was supposed to come back on Friday, but now I am stuck out here for at least another week. But, I finally got internet at the office I am working at just a few days ago...long story.

But anyway, it does look like the weekend of the 13th won, by 3 people so far. I am going to post a message for this maybe in a few other spots (hopefully it wont get deleted by the mods) and see if I can get some more people in on it.

So for now, lets just say it was the 13th, what are we going to do? Does anyone have any ins at the Shed or any other cool places? Anyone have any ideas on places we could go? Is anyone willing to host a small get together of less than probably 20 people? If we changed it to Indy would as many people be willing to go? Just thinking maybe one of those guys down there with a house might be willing to hold a small bbq or something, I have no idea.

If we pick a date we need something to do, like I said before I would absolutely do it at my place, but my tiny apartment and no yard would be pretty lame. Anyone willing to toss out any ideas or suggestions? Does anyone have a good in at a restaurant that they could get us hooked up with really good prices? If we were back home in the north east I could whip this together no problem, but out here I still know a very limited amount of people, thus I have no connections for anything cool.

So lets hammer down something to do, and I will try and pull some more people in!

If we did something at the shedd we could might be able to have a bbq at a local park as long as the wheather is nice I think that could be an option. Also if it's 2 days 13-14, It may not be a bad idea to keep everything around that area maybe there is a lfs or something near by.

I agree, keeping everything close is a good idea. If we venture to far with traffic and everything it wont be any fun.

I posted a link to this thread in a few other places, hopefully it draws some more attention. I will be checking this thing daily now, throughout the day, so hopefully we can get some action and decisions.

Unless one of you "crazy" indy fella's will host this luau at your house... I keep hearing that you guys have so many tanks you call it "Indy Style". Let's see some.

Well, we have a lot of tank, but I have a basement project at the same time. Most of them aren't set up yet.
I wouldn't be opposed to housing this gathering. We would be more than will to have a group over. But there's not too many good sights to be seen around Indy as far as aquariums & LFSs go.

...No one really likes chicago anyway...

Don't most of you Indiana guys live far south in Indiana? I like the 13th or 14th.

Most of the guys you see are in the Indianapolis and surrounding area.
