hey! i just made an account and im the one with the cave gecko. I had no idea they were that different from leos since its very hard to find info on them. I am setting up a new tank for him right now!
first off its sort of hard to research something that you cant find info on. second i bought this guy from a petstore that was basically killing everything they own in there. He was in a habitat where everything was rotting so there was no way for me to waste time and research him since we drove 2 hours and get him and by the time i went back home to look him up and then went to get him he would of died. He was also labled wrong in the tank he was in.
Like i said before everything is fine now so you dont have to get your panties in a bunch over it
There is this awesome website, not sure if you've heard of it. It's called "Google" it allows you to search on ANY topic across the web. It's a pretty sweet website. The web address is http://www.google.com
Also purchasing it was probably the worse thing you could of done for the gecko. Purchasing it will only cause the pet store to buy more and keep them in crappy conditions. Best thing you could of done for it was leave it be and let the Pet Store take the fault and lose the money for the gecko once they lose it.
Don't worry K7. This kid is obviously a n00b @ Reptiles and doesn't know that it's perfectly acceptable to house similar species together for a short time. Don't let him push your buttons.
Oh and maybe people will start inviting you again, Squared, if you actually started to go with them when they do
Mixing herps is ok when they have very similar needs. I think it's a very interesting and more challenging level of the hobby but it does take lots of care and knowledge to pull off
