Chinese Perch (almost) 3 month growth

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
67ish degrees.

yes, but I've had a big one in mid 80 degree water.

That is a lovely chinese perch. It has great colors, especially the red. Mine started with the red, but lost the red completely when it got to 3-4". What kind of pellets does yours eat? Mine guy will only take Hikari food sticks and market shrimp.

You know people say oscars have personality - but these guys have plenty. hehe. :)

You're lucky that yours will eat prepared food! Yours is the only other that I've heard of eating pellets. Mine will eat almost any sinking pellet, but loves kensfish color sticks. Eventually, this one will lose the red as well. They just don't maintain that color throughout their lives.

haha : ) i miss my cperch , sold my pair when they were 6-7" .... they ate tilapia, pellets of anykind, and freeze dried shrimp ^^;;

Hello!

Do you keep the small and largemouth bass in a pond? Or do they live freein nature around your place? How aggressive are those two? I heard that the laremouth bass is quite aggressive and that this fish tries to eat fish nearly the same size than itself!

Damn i wish i could get some of these chinese perch here, from who i know they come from a cold place so that the winter would be no problem.

Greetings

Both types of bass are native here, and both will try to eat anything they can:D
