Chronicles of a Male Dovii

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Just got my two Doviis today at 4:45-appear healthy with the exception of their tail.
One has a V-Shaped Tail-inother words a big chunk missing which gives the tail a V-shape. The other is not as bad but the end of its tail looks tattered and shredded. Will they heal?

They will heal up in time. Best bet is to separate them cause they might be nippy towards each other.

240 then you shouldnt have a problem. they will heal in time. just a good diet and some tlc. i luv dovii dont you

Yes awesome! I will post pics when they heal up. Poor guys, lucky for them I have them now! As far feeding I will use many different foods:
1. Pellets
2. Brine Shrimp
3. Blood Worm
4. Beefheart

You know what is good for a treat. Buy some frozen cooked shrimp. Thaw them out and cut them into pieces. They love that stuff. I feed mine Hikari cichlid gold and cichlid staple. For treats I give them krill and beefheart. Sometimes earth or blood worms. Never give them feeders. Even though they love them dont. Parasites and all that other stuff that can harm your prize fish.

Raw shimp ftw.

(He did say just a treat though)

Why feed anything, even just for a treat, that has no nutrients in it?
