thanks guys, i'll just leave it for now i think and see how it goes it doesn't bother me at the moment with him being small but obviously things may change as he gets older, he may get bored of attacking me ,but i doubt it
What I used to do when dealing with aggressive Flowerhorns was to stand my ground lol. Whenever I sensed an attack coming, I would clench my fist so it wouldn't get my sensitive areas and draw blood. Wait for him to back off and resume cleaning. with this said, I got bit 100% of the time LOL
I guess I will invest in gloves some day. My Midevil is the same way. He will relentlessly bite and ram anything that enters his tank, including my hand. I have a very large net that I use to keep him at bay as I clean his tank. This helps a lot! I have to be careful when reaching too deep in the tank. If my face gets close to the water he will jump at it. I keep my dreadlocks pulled back too. I don't want to back away with a mean orange fish dangling from my hair.
My Ceylon Puffer is crazy. He'll take the tip of your finger off if he bites it, no joke. His incissors can crush MTS, so I don't want to find out what it'll do to one of my fingers. I use a piece of eggcrate. It usually keeps him away from my hands while cleaning the tank.
Getting wet is cool... comes with the territory with big tanks. Hell, half the time, my oscar splashes the crap out of me when I feed him! LOL... but the getting bit part... yeah... I REALLY like the long gloves for the fish with teeth! LOL...
