Cloudy water excuses. I love 'em!

I have found that my fish enjoy a nice glass of milk once in a while.

Lights actually can screw with water appearance. I think it's a problem with the camera itself more than the lights/aquarium/water though. My 20 Long has a standard hood light above it, but it's a violet color bulb, I think for plant growth or something, or maybe a reptile light (bought it on Craigslist). With the black gravel the light makes any pictures I take of that tank look washed out/cloudy, but the water is crystal clear in person.

That one is true though. :grinno:

Might not be a problem with the camera so much as the camera operator ( me ) not knowing the best way to use it for pics of that tank. The pics always come out a little 'washed out' but the tank looks pristine in person. I also blame the lights cause that is the only thing different from my other tanks, and their pics come out sharp. The others have daylight bulbs.

My personal fav so far is Bderick67's milk excuse.

The water is clean I swear, I just haven't wiped the algae off the glass in a while so that makes the water look dirty.
