clown knife for dinner?

^ I agree, pretty much any living creature is food for some one some where... just all part of the life cycle...

I've seen a couple of recipes for them, but I have no idea how to filet them. I hear they have a lot of pin bones too. Kind of curious to try.

They actually don't have very many bones. We don't fillet them. We scale them, gut them, stuff them with bacon, green onions, lup cheong, imitation crab, etc... mixed with mayo, and bake in the oven. DELICIOUS...

That sounds good. Maybe I'll give this a try and stuff it.

I almost feel the same as when I was told that people fish gar. I have never known them as anything other than pets. Same with the Clown Knife.

lol, its like someone telling me they're going dog hunting...

Clown knifes are bread commercially in asia as food. It does seem weird as many of us including me on this site own a knifefish. But hey, were at the top of the food chain for a reason.

But sadly I've heard that that gar are not generally eaten. They are just fished because anglers don't like them and don't want them eating their gamefish.
