I had an established large tank in which I kept just corydoras and hundreds of shrimp that developed their colony for some years. Then when my other tank broke, I transferred the clown loaches to the corydoras/shrimp tank.

The shrimp colony survived. So yes, you can keep shrimp with clown loaches, providing the tank is planted, lots of cover for the shrimp and the shrimp have been given the chance to multiply out of proportions, which may take many months/year/years. No snails survived though but shrimp are fast :) so not all get eaten. Fresh free food too :) Unfortunately I had to take that tank down too and the other way round, clown loaches first, then shrimp does not work :)
