Coffe Table Aquarium

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have no hate. Thought I was pretty polite. Sorry a 500l tank in that setup isn't appropriate for most of the animals you listed. At 300l even less so. Good luck with whatever you decide...
Stingray and Arowana was straight was bullshit of me no cap... but disk tetras would be fine... or a mata mata.... or a single flowerhorn depending on type

Depending on filtration. Mata mata get large. Discus do too. And both need really clean water. I'll concede the flowerhorn just top down on him is going to be boring pretty quickly.

Well you can still kinda see from the side... and from up you can see his derpy head and chins haha.. mata mata are messy but I can keep up with filtration... and due to them not moving around much if at all sometimes 80 gallons is considered good for a single specimen. I never did mention discus.. I meant the lesser know Disk tetra... beautiful disk like tetras that grows to 3 to 4 inches max.

I see your point haha, sorry for acting dumb... when I meant so many option I mean all the different ways to go... all tetras? One flower horn? One Oscar? Crayfish tank? Shrimp tank? Rope fish tank? There are a lot more possibilities then some mite actually think

I've looked into these a lot previously. The one thing I found - if you go tropical with these aquarium coffee tables..... you'll get condensation on the top. As we do on the condensation trays / sliders on our aquariums.. Therefore, defeating the object if viewing fish from above with these tables.

My vote, some nice fantail goldfish / fancy goldfish. They look amazing from above. Black sand / black bare bottom, no heater required, personable fish, win (in my opinion).

This is probably the best idea so far.

Also need to consider the potential sound vibrations that might reach the tank everytime you put something on the table that in turn could stress the fish?
