College Fish

I just got fined tonight for my 40 gallon. Apparently having your tank at your girlfriends who just happens to live with the "HALL MONITOR" is a bad idea when they hate each other. I got snitched on and so now the 40 is a 20 I just magically had one under my bed lol and I got a nice autograph from the police man that only cost me 50 bucks and get to go to party with the judicial board and talk to them about fish lol.


Anyways I would have to say go with a saltwater FOWLR setup and some nano fish. Theres an awesome write up on turning an AC110 into a refugium in the DIY section.

if your into catfish, you could get a pair of raphaels, striped and spotted... maybe a gourami or 2?

dwarf frogs
kuhli loach
Im sure you can mix and match to have a nice 10g setup.

Raphaels and CAE will both outgrow a 10g.

What kind of fish do you want? A small community? A single species tank? There is a lot you can do. Perhaps a pair of keyhole cichlids. Or a pair of American flagfish in a planted tank. If you like catfish you can look into South American bumblebee catfish, otocinclus, corydoras etc. If gouramis are your thing both dwarf and honey gouramis would work in a 10g.

Killies would be good, but a single male betta with some nice plants and a few corys would be nice as well.

Pygmy sunnies, dwarf cories, many types of tetras, a pair of blue-dotted sunnies, leaffish, a pair of true redeyed puffers, even a spagetti eel, lots of choices.

I had the ten gallon rule when I was in college and I had a 30 instead. Unless the RA knows fish you're not gonna get caught. unless you start going huge.... then it's a dead giveaway haha.

Hmm... You must have forgotten tha this is a college tank. That means whatever fish he chooses, will not spend their life @ college (unless you plan on staying for 8+yrs.)
so think of the time frame, a CAE and raphaels will not outgrow by the time our man ^ gets his degree
