color change in flowerhorn

In the last three weeks, my male flowerhorn has completely changed his coloration and markings. I have included three pics to see the changes over time. The last pick was taken this morning. I have also included a pic of his girl. They have bred three times over the last 7 weks. Enjoy!

I do not believe it is breeding color, as they have bred three times now. The last batch of fry hatched two weeks ago. At that time he was much darker and blue (second from last pic of the male). Only in the past few days has the black shown up and the gold shown up. It began with parts of all of his fins changing to a gold color. Then a few gold streaks showed up in the face. Regardless, I can't decide which color pattern I like better. I am also not convinced that this change has been completed. I can't wait to see where it goes from here.

The fish isn't stress...and FH don't peeled while spawning...the fish that is peelling is probably crossed from a JK...very few fish changed completely like thatn
 
That is some wicked change. I don't think that I have ever seen one so drastic. You got lucky with him. :drool:
