Have your fish had wigglers or just the eggs?

Your confusing @_@ I dont think anything that you said makes any sense what does doses of red mean and have to do with a Gold Base FH.
All red devils and midas are born grey with stripes. The parents genetics(rr(grey for life), Rr(grey until 7-8"), or RR(red by 4")) will determine when/if they turn red. In flowerhorns, which devils and midas genetics are definitely included, if they have a single dose(Rr) for red they will turn red at a larger size(the fish in question) then say a fish that has two doses(RR) which will turn red at a smaller size. The "red gene" can be expressed as anything from yellow to pure red.

Then I added that if the fish in question(Rr) was bred to a 'normal' flowerhorn(rr) then half of the fry would be late changing(Rr) and half would be normal(rr). It's basic genetics.

First batch was wigglers. The parents left five fry from the second batch alone. They ate the rest. The five grew to about 1/2 an inch before the female ate them. She then laid eggs a third time, but this time the male did not fertilize.
