He is about 8 inches and is definately not stressed. I have raised him from a 2 incher. I feed him spectrum in the morning and A-life at night with the occasional super worm, shrimp pellet, etc. The pair are in a 75 with a few fancy plecos. I do a 50% change weekly. I consider myself quite lucky to have him. Thanks for the questions and comments.

this is the first time i have heard of a fader fading at 8 inches

my dads flowerhorn is going thru this process and its very slow goin the fish isalso around 7-8 inches is actually very ugly at this point in time but it has a good future ahead
