vieja is too aggressive that they are impossible to live peacefully
hartwegi is not very aggressive and beautiful, most vieja aggression is directed towards conspecifics

i think the gourami's and frontosa's are ok too, i keep fronts together in the same tank as the indo. it just have problem about chasing my snowball pleco.

thanks chris. i thought about frontosas but they grow too slow for my arowana =/. Will discus work guys? besides their slow eating habbit, will my tank work? Im sure i could get the datnoid to eat a big shrimp when i give the discus blood worms or whatever they want. i think they would make my tank look good.. any thoughts? I'm excited to hear from you guys cause im sure it would brighten up my tank

Just buy your parents some 3D glasses and a lava lamp! It'll all look good! :D

well i have frontosa's, leaf fish and datnoids in there. its not all that colorful. i was planning on throwing in discus along with it but the pet store lady looked at me like i was on crack or something so i was like ok nevermind. so i just got frontosa's. im not too sure how the result will be after they grow. also datnoids will try to eat anything that fits in their mouth so gotta be aware of that too.

Really? my NTT is so timid. He dont bug nobody. Plus, when i feed them, ill be sure to drop a big shrimp in for him to keep his mouth full while drop small food for the discus so for sure they will be well fed. any thoughts?

my indo tried to eat my 2 inch frontosa and choked on it, i got it out before it died.
i feel bad for the frontosa its the second time it happend. first it was from a 8 inch flowerhorn got chewed a few times before i spit it back out. then it was the indo. lol i think im gonna have to send frontosa's away.

hmmm, assorted african cichlids i.e. if u wanna do a new setup. if u wanna add to what you already have then I'd say go for some SA/CA cichlids. colourful and robust. strange collection you have though.
