just get rid of the puffers, they are pretty boring fish and are preventing you from keeping many of the really interesting brackish water fish out there

yea, rescued him to death, its very sad. sometimes the best thing to do if your just not sure if hell get along with your current fish is leave him at the store. I have several puffers including one figure eight puffer, hes very aggresive.. so i not dare put any other fish in there with him. oh and it always helps to have some kind of back up tank, just in case they dont get along..if for nothing else to give you time to find him a new home. sorry about your loss man.
it does sometimes completely suck having a tank devoted to having just one fish in it, so maybe finding a new home for your puffer is the way to go, but only you can decide that.. Me.. im very attached to all my fish and cant imagine giving up any of them
Honestly , its so strange....I have a 75 Gallon tank, I have 2 Small Figure 8 Puffers.
1 Archer fish, 1 Mono Sebae, 1 Mono Argentus and a pair of Molly's (male & female).
Today I bring home a 2 inch Columbian Shark Catfish and the Puffers go ballistic on the Catfish and kill him......
Out of all the fish in my tank, they go nuts on the Catfish?
I dont get it?
Honestly, Im really trying to figure it out....Like could it be because the catfish was small? Or is just because they just dont like Catfish in general? If the Catfish was bigger maybe like 4-5 inches would it have a better chance of not being bullied to death?
Do you guys think I should try maybe a Knight Goby, Bumble Bee Goby or Orange Chromide? Or do you think the Figure 8's will kill them too?
