Why don't all the newbies just do some research before purchasing. It takes 2 clicks on the internet.
sadly, we still have people out there that don't know how to email, nvm research

This is some pretty basic math. If you can't figure it out there's a problem.

sweet... thanks for spending time to let everybody know just a lil about a couple fish... which to be honest catfish dont interest me that much... must be because i fish for them and when i pull em out of the water there always slimy and nasty... i was also wondering here in ohio iv caught a fish called a mud dog before and it has two rear legs... very odd fish i was considering trying to catch one and keeping it in a tank but iv never heard of anyone ever doing that...

great stuff del! yea and even fw red eye pufer fish they are mean the only other fish you can keep with them are exodon tetra's. my gf really wants a figure 8 puffer and a spotted puffer, i always make her do the research first before she gets any new fish.

I always thought, MFK was different and was in a different level as what they want to represent as what there opening line in this fourm is which states:

"We are a unique community of Fish Keepers who seriously take our hobby to extremes and the NEXT level. The majority of our fish collections include RARE & EXOTIC Species of all sizes, BIG FISH with BIG APPETITES and BIG TANKS. It's not easy for most people or other "regular" fish keepers to understand why we maintain this type of collection and spare no expense on this fascinating hobby."

On the flip side of this discussion on what fish to avoid due to their potential size: those same fish increase sales of larger tanks, filters, and food. If pet shops only sold smaller fish, very few people would have tanks larger than 55G.

I think that is the hidden agenda for all the pet shops that sell a few of these "future monsters". I probably would if I were a shop owner.
