around how much do they normally go for at arouond 3 to 4 inches?
call a couple of LFS stores around you and see what their prices are.. then let us know... and we can give you an estimate of what others have paid etc.. but location to location varies.. and for zaires you may need to find a breeder for the best stock and quality.

I just swapped out my Black Arowana and Peacock Bass for a colony of fronts. I got nine of them, all are under 2 inches long so I'm unsure as to the sex. I also have 3 small julidochromis with them, so far. All housed in a 200 gallon tank with tons of rocks and wood to hide in. Actually, it's really hard to find fish because they're so small! Anyhow, what are your thoughts on tropheus with frontosas? I've seen many tanks with the combo. but I've also read that tropheus tend to be a little too busy for fronts and stress-kill them. Should I just stick with the julidos and maybe get a couple more instead? Also, should I stay with the number of fronts I have or look into cramming more into my 200 gallon? Filtration is a null point.

Thanks in advanced fellas! (...and Gal!)

why don't you start a thread and ask for opinions.. so all can see it.. because i am not sure of the places it depends on location so much.. and sizes and types of varients etc

At a pet store Blue Zaire will run $199+.
Online dealers will be 99 to 150 just depending on season.

If lucky you can find a person giving up a colony, then you can expect to pay about 75 to 150 each.

4inch are usually going to be F1's, you should be able to find these for about 40-60 each.

Generations away from wild. F0 wild F1 off spring of wild and so on. This is for breeding, not the same as for scientific research.

Cool, that's what I thought but didn't want to assume. Thanks for the reply.
