Converting from fresh to reef tank!!!

LOL, lots of your pics are sideways! Great start, tank & sump looks great. Be sure to clean that filter sock often--like every 3 days or so. I personally don't like them.
 
i would remove the play sand build a plenum about 2" off the bottom. mesh netting over the plenum and add a layer of crushed coal. more mesh (screen) then add your live sand, and based rock. i would cycle for about 3-4 weeks before adding fully cured live rock. a good protein skimmer and plenty of circulation is key.

with this method you will need very little filtration as long as water changes are routine.

hey hate to inform you that the tank is up and running already and has had fish in it for about two weeks now...sorry but thanks for the info

....thats puffer but y the cleaning every 3days or so? more details please.:popcorn:
