Awesome that someone is finally doing something about this. Dixon is the man! You people should be ashamed of yourselves (you know who you are). Acting like a bunch of bullies on the playground, beating on the small guy.

The reason past infractions are given are so that they eventually stop if they accumulate enough infraction points. Just because its done in the past doesnt mean it should be ignored. Another part of the puzzle to look at when people are considered to be banned are their past behaviors.

Example being, what if I called you a name right now?

There its done!!! Lets move on, no need to infract me! Yes!!!

But you are =only bringing it up becasue of this thread, if it were so bad it should have been stopped previously.

So what you are implying is that nothing is bad unless a thread is created to bring attention to it. That seems wrong.

No, but creating the thread brings attention onto yourself. Some things go un looked because each and every mod cannot possibly go through the millions of posts that happen everyday.

Actually it sometimes does need people to bring it to the attention of a mod. we are human, we can miss things. Do you realize how many posts we need to read each day?

i know what convict breeder is going through and i completly understand
i lost my dad a year and a half ago and up untill a couple days my 45 was going through a period of semi neglect, for a few months it only had a single red hook in it and the other fish were only added over the course of the last two months. and just last night i got rid of all the old plastic plants, also one of my tens is insanely overstocked but i am still trying to thin it out
i think that any body that still gives cb crap about his tank after reading this thread is a total d1ck

I am actually NOT only bringing it up only because of this thread. Prior to this thread somebody actually pm'ed me about the situation. Thus it was brought up among the staff for review AFTER the staff discussion was brought about did this thread come up.

So whether or not this thread came up or not it would have been under investigation.

There is also nothing wrong with our members bringing attention to an unjust post or thread. Its the whole reason we have the report post alert button option on every thread/post.

If anything I want to thank the member (you know who you are) who pm'ed me along with the member who made this thread.

The mods here generally do a good job, but sometimes they overlook something and need to have it reported by a member. I know I've gotten several infractions, most of which I've deserved and it's gotten me to post more carefully.

the thread deleted was only brought to my attention this morning so as far as i was concerned was not in the past.
