Well first batch of fry has been consumed by the tank. King and Queen are now on a honeymoon tour of the tank.

More sad news, I was doing a thorough cleaning moving rocks around to get under them, when the female HRP lifelessly floats to the surface.... got stuck and died? Never have heard of that before.

Sorry to hear that. I remember having something similar happen to me once, I think it was a pim cat or similar tho. It's not common, but it happens. Fish aren't that bright.

Are you going to add more HRPs?

Not sure at the moment, I am thinking either get some new HRP females, or take out the female Firemouth when they start laying eggs and make it a Male only tank as far as cichlids go. And add in a few other con males like Nano, Sajica
