Maybe I have lesbian convicts them. I should know though in a day or so if the eggs hatch. They all look fertilized and no white ones.

Looks like they are fighting, mine do that once every couple of months or so. For this reason I do not suggest keeping them in 10-20 gallon tanks, it might work but once they start fighting they will not have a place to hide. Separate them for a week or so...
I have a pair of convicts in my 125 gallon tank. I've had them for several months and not one batch of fry...![]()
Today I get home and they are liplocking!!! The male is always chasing around the female, but I've never seen them do this before. Are they fighting or is this some sort of mating ritual? I know my Texas male got pretty mean with the female before they mated.
I can post a pic if anyone needs one...
I don't recommend putting them in a 10g tank simply because they grow to large. The smallest I would put a pair in is a 20g long or 29g.
