Mike, don't go tit for tat with this guy. It's not worth it. Between this site, your experience, and the help of other professional sites you should be able to come up with a logical and healthy way to house your fish. Fighting it out on this post will not help you or your fish. Just make sure that your fish are in an appropriate sized aquarium with appropriate tank mates. Stay positive and move forward. I wish you and your fish the best.
I agree with you totally. So far, between doing my own research and some advice from this thread, my fish is doing completely better than when I first got him.
Whether you put in 1 fish or 2, you still need a tank 4x the length of the adult size and 1.5 times the width of the adult size.
One fish or two will not change that.
Calling me names won't do anything except get you into trouble.
I am offering you help. I am patiently trying to make sure you understand the needs of your fish. You can choose to house them improperly, the "fish police" won't stop you. I hope you instead choose what is best for the animals in your care.
Put it this way, Mike had 2 Oscars and a Chocolate cichlid in a 60G - he has taken the advice of the people here and got rid of his oscars so that the chocolate can have a better life. He only has room really for a few small dithers, i.e. congo or lemon tetras like I suggested. He got some diamond tetras who in my opinion will be OK in a group of 4-6 - OK its not a perfect "shoal" but they will probably do fine in that size group. My Congos are in a group of 6 (3 males and 3 females) and the other day they were spawning like crazy, so they must be happy in their little "shoal"! Maybe when the chocolate cichlid gets too big for the tank then Mike can think about re-homing him but for now it will probably be just fine.
