I have had them for about 2 weeks they are 1.5 inches from head to tail kinda small guys but I read an article that said they start young. They seem paired off already, check out this pic they are next to each other.

They say the male will turn really black, well he does that from time to time but it doesn't stay that way.

HELP!

pretty sure when the female's belly gets a little fat (gravid?) - - and really shows the orange - - then they are just about ready

The female will get an orange stomach and soon after if conditions are right you will have some little fry.:)

mine are barely on their 2nd batch

hahahaha when wil they breed you will be up to your ears in convicts they breed in wet grass and gestation with 80 degree water is like a week or less females have red bellies and they dont turn black they will get more color during breeding lighter darker who cares you will have more convicts than you can handle after a year

10 gal. the temp is at 78 and I cant raise it because I bought a heater that has no control it just stays at 78 I didnt read the box. I did a water change yesterday and raised it with warm water though.

Don't add warm water.

Well 10g is a bit small, but if they arent fighting, that's good. They should breed soon. Try turning that pot away so they feel more comfortable, good luck. Oh and feed live brineshrimp if possible.

I already had put rocks in front of that to make a cave that pic is old. They still havent produced eggs. SO much for just getting them wet/
