Are you all prepared to live totaly without cops,I doubt it so ease up on the hate.I admit that its a lousy situation but the man ran a light and went on for four blocks so who expects the policeman to be very understanding after a mini chase that could have caused someone to be killed.Would it be reasonable for the cop to accompany them on into the hospital to make sure that they were not lying about speeding? On the other hand the cop did sound like an azzole after I listened to the recording of their conversation.

He could have shown some compassion. An officer sees someone heading to the hospital his duty should be to help get them there.
"To protect and serve" or is it "To punish and enslave" ;)

The cop was protecting the public from some one who ran a red light.

This is why I hate these situations. You get one moron and then people starting going on wax poetic about the evil's of law enforcement. This happened like 20 miles from me. I have dealt with cops in Dallas, Frisco, Arlington, Ft. Worth, Mansfield, Plano, and a lot of other forces around here. For the most part the metroplex keeps the police officers well paid and well trained. They shouldn't be judged by this one guy, I have met very few police officers around here that abuse their powers.

Let me school you little thugs, traffic stops are very dangerous, you never know who you are dealing with. You stop somebody late at night and they immediatley jump out of the car and start moving away from the vehicle, your first thought have to be are they flanking me, are they getting away, what have they just done? You have got to control people, and make sure no weapons are involved.

After he put them in the car and their story was confirmed he should have been more courteous, I am not denying that. But the people in the car have to be cooperating to move any situation along.

To say you hate cops is childish at best, when you come home and your family has been killed, the first peole you call are the ones you hate? I tell you what, go to the academy and become a cop, make a difference. Oh you cannot pass a background check, cannot even qualify to be a cop? Well that would be about right.

Pretty silly

You cant bunch all cops in one group. Theres Aholes from all walks of life like lawyers, plumbers, convenience store workers, and so on. I agree the cop had to secure the situation and im sure he was intimidated by the fellow's size but I do think he could have handled it differently.

I ran a guy down in Florida, who had just killed his wife. When we got behind him he ran into a hospital. We got him before he took any hostages...........how does that story playout for you "punish and enslave" theory? Do only good people go to hospitals............I think not.

The funny part was if your parents were in the hospital and got killed by this psycho, you would be whining about why the cops did not chase him right into the waiting room.........which we did.

try to grow a little bit and see the real world, from somehwere besides your computer screen:eek:

4 cops killed in Oakland starting with a traffic stop...............lately

Now you're just being silly. It's easy to be a cop. Just show people a badge and they will be completely honest with you. No one ever lies to cops!!! ;)

Hey Rodney, Thank You for the job you and your fellow LE officers do!!! With out you I couldn't imagine how F@#*ed up this world would be. :headbang2

No longer a cop, been a long time..........but I still put my share of people in jail, working on a 6 million dollar loan fraud right now, so far 9 people have gone to jail and now I only need to grab the main guy, waiting for the indictment. Helping the institution with a 3 million dollar bond claim to recoup some of the money.

BTW I was shot at twice once right after a traffic stop,,,,,,,I learned to duck pretty quick.

Anybody out there ever been shot at or hit? Did you enjoy it? Scared the **** out of me.
