cop shoots handcuffed man

I just thought about something else that points to this being an accident. Typically when an officers uses deadly force they fire their weapon until they know the person is dead. Its rare its one shot fired from an officers gun, more often then not the whole mag is dumped.

After the shot the victim was clearly alive and moving, if the officer really thought he needed to use deadly force he would have kept firing until the person was clearly dead. He didnt...

They also KNEW they were being filmed, I dont think he would have fired out of hate or rage on camera.
 
I got to agree convict and sentence this man. Such an unfortunate situation but seriously how could he have not noticed it was his sidearm and not the taser. This is just another reason why cops shouldn't have the taser in the first place. In many other videos on the web you can see quite a few taking advantage of it. But thats beside the point, the feeling of the taser, the safety, and trigger must feel different from sidearm to taser.

I feel bad for both families in this situation.

Actually they are designed to feel similiar to ease in training.
 
if they want to have tasers they should go back to the old fashion ones where you actually have to approach a person. This gun taser is for the lazy cops. Just like this, old fashion taser would of worked fine and this guy would be alive....

You apparently know nothing about persona defense weapons. Handheld tasers are pretty much useless.

They involve close contact exposing you not only to a chance of being shoked but to any weapon such as a knife the other person may have. Handheld tasers are nothing more then fleamarket gimmicks.
 
That just makes me feel sick although it depends what the guy has done if hes a pedo or something he wanted shooting, i doubt it. thats sick.
 
It really is scary to read stories like this.

A local police officer in our small town shot and killed an unarmed 115 pound Irish kid last year. He didn't get charged in the shooting, but is in jail on unrelated charges.

How do these people become police officers?

The really sad part is that the officer will most likely not be charged. I feel that police should be held to an even higher standard when it comes to criminal charges than other people. Sadly the reality is just the opposite.

I agree that they would be useless in the field but don't you think that cops are getting carried away using these shooting tasers? A taser was not needed AT ALL in this situation, so if he had a hand taser or even better NO taser, this man would still be alive.
