I thought if it was cyano then it would rubb off easy this stuff is really on there its inside of the rocks.Might try it when i go back to the groceary store to pick up some lemon juice.

Yeah, sometimes it gets in there deep. Can it come off with a soft brush?

Heres a full tank shot one branch on the left look promosing its a different shade of purple and the big rock is white it had some spots of green on it.

If i had your camera thats about the best i can get i took all kind of shots with the flash they all glared this camera ant much to work with.Im just going to say its coralline. If it ant owell better luck next time thanks for posting in my thead you think its coralline and so do i and thats that.

its probably coralline, usually if its cyano and you dont change your husbandry it will spread pretty fast and thicken up.

btw when your tanks more mature the coralline will spread pretty fast too, i would take it out before its too late ;)
my glass would be COMPLETELY covered every two or 3 days, when i was around the 3 year mark with my tank.(i did have a calc reactor though)

I want it to cover the rocks and the back glass.Garf recommends using sechem advantage calcium and reef builders.Im still thinking of getting the purple up its got everything coralline needs it even buffers the alkalinaty an karbanate hardness.

purple works up ok, in my expierence it will boost growth if its already growing, but if its not growing it wont fix the problem.

testing is still important tho, the levels must be kept at certain levels for the corals to use it properly. blindly dosing wont do that.
theres a ratio your supposed to keep mag and calc at, i dont remember it though.

Yeah your probably right but i just hate buying all those test kits im not sure how to read them.Im using kent calcium an strontium right now.
