No brother. I found this beauty by accident while looking around at a local fish store.... tongs in fountain valley i believe..... they have really nice bettas....

Right on. I saw some on aquascape last time I checked their stock. Out of curiosity, what are you going to do with it?

Sorry about your loss. Hopefully the DOA policy is legit.

Betta's home is inside a big tank.... container has dividers good for 4 bettas. Took all the dividers out..... mansion is his.... will add a small piece of driftwood and moss ball in the next couple of days.

So my male (smaller) ornate has been courting my big female ornate for weeks now. Finally the female ornate seems interested. The usual following around and cupping has occurred for about 2 weeks now. The male has been "twitching"/"jerking" it's head for about a week now. I was worried but noticed it was the only bichir in my tank doing it. Finally today I noticed the frmale ornate doing the twitching. very interesting behavior and thought I'd share.

Anyone else ever see this type of behavior? They are both doing this often now. These are the only two doing this, so I am assuming it is part of the mating process.

Yeah that's breeding behaviour. I looked for a video I saw of a pair of ornate spawning in a small tank but can't find it.
