Corner tank shot of bichir substrate.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
This is one of my nigerian endlis that I was going to get rid of because it used to be territorial towards any bichir that got close to her. Now that I have added the sand & is eating well, she likes to hang out with other bichirs and comes to the front of the tank. She was a skinny runt, now she is getting fat.

Nice bichirs and nice pics. Thanks for sharing your bichirs. I am so jealous of your bichirs and bass bro. I have two type of lighting on my bichir tank. There is the low power LED I used for feeding and high power T5 I used to display and waterchanges. I have my lights plugged into one of those remote Christmas light outlet. I just hit a button on the remote and the tank light up.

Thank you for the kind words brother! That sounds like a cool light setup. I've been wanting to automate mine with dimmable LED lights using something like APEX controller....... Heck i've been thinking of fully automating everthing with full control on my ipad!! Can you say ecotech vortex powerheads??? I wanna be able to see my fish from work too via internet! haha. I might pull the trigger for that project sometime next year. The guys from the darkside shouldn't be the only ones to play with gadgets. Right??

And by the way my collection has one of your old bichirs. Remember which one? she Was about 6"s when i got her from you, now pushing 13"s. :)

the teugelsi?

Yup, pound for pound, she is my biggest eater (along with a cb lap I got from Sergio)! Sometimes I worry about the teug..... feel like one day she is gonna gorge herself to death!! The bigger/fatter she gets, the less you can tell her spine is a bit crooked.

Finally got a picture of my "charcoal black" congicus. I don't think it's blind but something funky definitely going on with its eyes. I see its pupils/eyes move and it moves when I get close to the tank. Can't wait till it grows monster!!
