Thanks for sharing, now I feel a little better knowing it's not so uncommon. Nice RTC by the way, what a beast.

Yeah, the pix of him with empty tummy :naughty: i think i got pix of them fully loaded - it is very impressive.

Btw, this is the murderous one ... the one that munch an arapaima, albino O and long long time ago a silver aro

No chance to munch the current paimas though ^^

Speaking of which mine went after my Pike Cichlid tonight and the RTC is only 10.5" and the Pike is over 6". I need to separate them soon I guess. I was hoping they would be ok together (For 2-3 more months) but it isn't looking that way.

Haha, yea I'll be putting the Pike back in my 75g it looks like. I'll put him back in the big tank once the RTC has a new home. Think the 7" Oscar will be ok or should I pull him too?

Os are alot wider than pikes, so id give it 3 more inches on the RTC before you NEED to move him.

Couple more photos of my boy, getting bigger everyday. You can see him chomping down a whole shrimp in the one photo, it was gone half a second later.

Bump because I am noticing most peoples RTC have 6 whiskers but mine only has 4. Is this normal? There is no evidence there were ever two others and it's been the same since I got him. They are really long now, so I assume if more were going to grow out they would have by now.

Anyone know?

I have no idea i never counted mine till know and mine has 6 so im not sure i doubt its anything to worry about.
