Craigslist Frustrations.

Never look at Socal's craigslist if you do not live in socal. It will only bum you out.

In my area, prices aren't too bad. 55's bare usually go for 40, however they show up once every couple weeks and sell that day. Same with kits, which are usually around 100. Seems like other tanks though are expensive. Most 20 gallon kits are the same price as a 55 gallon kit. Larger tanks like 125s, go for 400+ if they have at least a stand light and tank. Hex tanks, corner tanks and bowfronts go for a lot as well.

Sorry:(, don't have that problem here at all.... South Texas.. just saw, or as advertised 110g for the first $100 cash.. I got a whole 20g setup for $60 about a year ago...

At least your 6'6".. lol JK.. just messin with ya..

haha hey at least i got that goin for me right?

i'd kill for a 110 for 100 bucks... hahahaha i should just move to texas and be through with it xD - my 2 big hobbies are fishing and fishkeeping and they got both >___<

Offer people stupidly low prices, a lot of the time people really need the money when they start selling there personal belongings on craigs list.

This should always be taken advantage of, I just got a trial bike that was listed for 675$ for 300$ cash.

Also try lying - It works, say a friend of yours or your son (I find that if you use your own kids they expect you to show up with them) fish tank got broke and your trying to get them a good deal, because there on low income, yada yada.

"Crap Ware" is one I use alot, tell them a little bit about how outdated there stuff is, You can see when it sets in set in in there face. Offer them hella low. Don't know how well this would work with fish tanks, maybe say "looks like it will have to be resealed soon, thats gonna cost a chunk of change."

Although sometimes, I'm looking at one online right now for way less than that i'll give ya "X" works too. Some people just post higher than they want incase someone wants to pay it.

I used to post the same item twice one high price, one normal price. It can help your lower item sell fast - gotta get the good deal before its gone right? Or sometimes people will think "Ooo I want the better one, it costs more it must be better."

Yes, i work very hard at hardly working = P

You might not get it the first or second try, You have to fish for the joy of the sport, not the catch.

yeah... im have the problem that they don't call/email me back.. all the time I see 55gal for 400+ $ and I'm curious, do people really pay that much? I paid 25$ for my 55 gal...

Yeah, if something doesn't pop up by the end of january i'll probably just have to start trying to pull things down on price. hate to do it but i want an upgrade lol

theres times when people have nothing else to do but make up bs posts. or post to prank a friend putting their numbers on it and not theres. crazy high prices. or super cheap like too good to be true. and when u call/email they never respond...it pretty much means its bs. but i dont think many people would pay like $400 for a 55gallon. unless they balling
