Crawfish eating live mouse

The point is that it's unnecessary to feed the crayfish a live mouse; they'll gladly accept dead mice as food, too. Some people may pull out the old "People feed their snakes live mice." argument, but the difference there is that some snakes absolutely refuse to convert to dead food so there is no other option for feeding them.

I with wiggles. Should have been dead but I dont really care. I just desire to know what about the skeleton!!

And how often for a mouse carcass end up in the river?
obviously often enough for them to have an appetite for mice..:screwy:

I don't think that live feeders, regardless of the species of animal, are inherently cruel. There is a paradox here too; is a mouse somehow more deserving of a "merciful death" than a feeder fish? Or live crickets/mealworms? We don't see flaming everytime someone feeds their beardie some live bugs.

My issue is when an animals pain or death becomes "fun". If you are creating this spectacle to enjoy an animals death rather than recreate nature, there's something wrong.
