Criticize the rockwork for my planted tank!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
thx man! its just some black gravel for now. i will be using the appropriate black substrate for planted tanks eventually

I don't like the open space in the middle on the last set up. Try the tallest rock dead center and space the others going outward tallest to shortest. I think I might have an ocd for things being even/symmetrical though :)

bump. anymore input?

thx guys. still not sure which setup i like. i like the 2nd one, but i also like the 3rd one now that i have a few more ideas. i also posted this on plantedtank.net and man these guys are techincal!! :)

somebody gave me a link that talks about 1:1:6 viewing ratio. seems like i have a lot more research and planning until my design is final :nilly:

i like the last one the most.

i like that the big rock is roughly in the "ratio" 1:1.6 that gives a good place for the eye to rest on. i would run your ground cover all the way to the back wall in the dead space. then make your background plants create a V shape with the point of the V being the ground cover on the back wall and getting taller as it goes to the sides. this is just my opinion....hope it helps
