they do kinda look both like males... but if anything i think the label was wrong and the whiter one is male and duller colored is female. all my males from the past were nice clean white and females had a brownish white. I say let them settle in and for the time being drop a divider between the two so they can establish own territory. those guys are way too small to be bonded. with cichlids that small there bonds are very weak, it isnt until after they hit 4.5-6" before they really start maturing and forming a strong bond. also the more spawns the closer the pairs get. give them a few days divided and then pull it to see if they tak interest again, but at least this way your giving them theyre own space. otherwise the more dominant of the two will run the roost and the other wont have a chance. good luck

Thanks for the Advice I already put the Divider back up before I read this so i was thinking. Now why woud dan tell me they are a bonded pair when they really arent yet and how long should I keep the Divider Up 2 days or 3 days

I noticed you have very white substrate and no dithers (apparent) in the photos, which may be washing their colors out and not allowing them to properly rebond (if they are a pair).
If they were mine, I'd put some dark colored logs or rocks in and a a half dozen dithers (large live bearers, or something disposable). Cuba has Gambusia, Limia or some native killifish, but anything to take the focus away from the smaller one would help. If one is a male, it needs targets, I had half dozen Vieja bifasciattum the distracted my male, and set the bond. They were removed oncethe tetracanthus spawned

I understand what people say to try and help put you know how people are when they want something bad enough they act stupied sorry for not listening which i should have

I feel for you man, been there before, that's why I gave the advice in the first place.

I posted in your other thread but they do look like 2 males. As I have said before when my female was separated from my male for a week she (after a full week) took on the typical cuban coloration. Maybe time will tell. Although you probably would have gotten a stronger bonded pair if you did it the old fashion way. I know how it feels to want something and not be patient. i wanted to breed cichlids so bad I went out and bought a "pair" of salvini. The two never got along and the slightly larger female always chased the male. Its was irritating,

You know i was gonna buy like 10 Smale Cubans and do it that way but then i second guessed my self and went with a mated pair so i am gonna see how the divider works after 3 to 5 days see what happans. I wish i would have went the way i first wanted to go and just got like 10 little cubans and did it that way

I am Gonna give it time its not like i cant sell them or something get money and try again like I was told it is gonna be hit or miss in the fish bussiness
