You know i was gonna buy like 10 Smale Cubans and do it that way but then i second guessed my self and went with a mated pair so i am gonna see how the divider works after 3 to 5 days see what happans. I wish i would have went the way i first wanted to go and just got like 10 little cubans and did it that way

Fish keeping is a learning experience. You gotta make bad decisions to make good ones.

yeai hear on that one i mae a bad one hey can you tell me would Dainos Work or does it have to be these types of fish to try and keep the smaller one from getten picked on Gambusia, Limia or some native killifish??? And do you know what some of the Native Killfish to cuba are and where i could get them

It's a matter if you want a biotope style setup or not. If they're just temporary dithers I wouldn't worry about tracking some rare species down.

I looked left and right for fish from cuba to put with my cubans in order to make it a biotope tank. Most of the liveberares I found were too small and wouldn't stand up to the constant abuse cubans like to give their tankmates. I did find this pike livebearer that seemed perfect but they prefer cool water and as we know cool water and cubans don't mix. I would use silver dollars. They are fast, easy to feed, and can take a hit. I cannot tell you how many times my male cuban has just nabbed them on the side and they just keep on swimming.

Jim, no worries, the fish is a bonded out pair that has spawned. The substrate has alot to do with the coloration. Also, if you don't want the fish, you can send them back to me and I will refund you no problem...

or u can send them to me

Its not a problem to me I am just trying to figure out why they are figint and now the male is hiding and wont come out i put the divder back in and they are on each side so i dont know what to do they were fighting like crazy. I trust what ya say its just werid how they started fighting once the divider came down now they dont really swim around that much
