my big boy has DE but when I put him into the pond he has slowly gotten better... not cured though but definately way better

Please try to keep this fish in the pond for at least 6 months. The condition will greatly improve I am very sure. :)

he has been on there for 18 months now

We have had success with Asian aros suffering from DE in ponds. I have to say we have manage to cure them without seeing a recurrence. I hope yours would benefit as well. :)

I have truly never seen them in their natural environment. However, I have seen real wild specimens being kept in captivity, some for more then 20 years & have not developed DE. Also, I have never seen Asian aro brood stock in ponds having this problem either. All my own aros that have suffered from DE are left in ponds for a period of time & have not had recurrence since. Although we are not sure how & why does DE occur, we do know that this method works for us in curring DE.

Nice, I have heard this as well......BAM.....we got a cure...:D;):headbang2

aros come from dirty muddy waters were they would have no need to look down for food in a tank they take food from the tank base and can see fish swimming below them

get yourself a real muddy looking tank and you may not have drop eye :D

too bad there i sno cheaper cure than to build a huge pond! lol! im sure sometime soon i will be building one anyway though.

:nilly: If the problem is the "fat pack" theory, then lets drop some fat burner (hydroxycut) in the tank and see what happens
