I GOT THEM!!!!!!

Just got them in the tank...all is looking good so far. No real aggression so far - little punch up between the male and my female jd, but think everyone is just reworking out the pecking order.

There is too much light around and glare at the moment to take photos, but will try to get that done tonight so that I can post them up...

I'm absolutely loving them...

... but on the sad note, I lost one of my O's today. One died yesterday some time, found him this morning. Looked like he lost a fight.

So... a mixed day in the fish world for me!

Post the pics when you get them.

are you excited? i am uploading a video of mine. Seconds long video that takes 45mins to upload.

The very long and awaited shots...

Very glad to have them home... everyone now is getting alone just fine. Only little pain in my tank now is an evil little malawian fish that was born in my tank from my early mixing days.

He's going to be gone very soon.

Oh, and the one that died was one of my O's, it was a red. Because my albino has calmed down so much now I'm suspecting it may have been another male. Shame, I was planning on taking him away today on the way to pick up the Carps.

But they are home now... waiting for the name to hit me. Thinking of going with bonnie and clyde.

Just wanna check that I did indeed get a male and female, so sexing would be great if anyone has any ideas....

you only bought two escondidos right? hope the first pic belongs to the petstore because it is not a good idea to keep carpintis with jaguar. Keep in mind that any carpintis, including escondido with a big black blotch(spot) on the dorsal fin is a female, you have one next to your albino oscar, the picture below that is a male.

the first pic indeed is from the pet store...

well i have two carps, the bigger one is meant to be the male and the smaller one the female.

I'll try to get a "couple" shot and post it.

^ Thanks :)

They are doing great in the tank. Got rid of the last malawian fish, he's now in the 14g with 4 guppies (long story) until I can rehouse him at a friends.

The carps are getting along great with their new tank mates... since last night everyone has seemed to just chill out which is cool.

Will keep updating with pics :)

nice carpintis
