As far as growing fast and exporting nitrous waste Duckweed will do it. It grows well under less lighting also, because it's right on top of the water.
But, My god it gets everywhere!
Once it's in the system its a pain to remove, if you change your mind.
Lol...that reminds me of post that a member made a few years ago about how duckweed overtook his tank.

It's great for what it can do for water quality. But, I don't know if it's worth the problems.
I have it in a few tanks, it looks cool how it shades the tank were it gathers. It gives a dark water feel to the tank with the dappling of light coming through the open areas.
But, if it makes its way under a water return and gets push down it will quickly clog filter's and removing it is tough because if you leave one small piece it will regrow in a few weeks!

Hey everyone, update as of today.

Finally got around to sanding the edges of the plywood down to make them all exactly even.

Screwed on one of the bottom 2x4 braces.

Started disassembling the glass aquarium. I got all of the panels off and separated from the plastic bracing WITHOUT breaking any of the plastic. (Huge win for me because I plan on re using the plastic bracing, at least for the corners.) it’s nice to finally have some more room in my garage to move around and work.

Next item on the list is to install the side 2x4 braces, order some pond armor from an online retailer. ((( I would also be willing to buy any left over Pond armor that you might have laying around!))). Then I’m going to finish cementing the cinder blocks together, lining. Them all up on the ground and placing it all into its final position.

Stay tuned!
