So the custom tanks i want( acrylic ), I just got the prices for. Keep in mind that custom tanks to your likeing ( the size you want ) are most of the time, more money than the tanks in the lfs. THe more square feet a tank has the more the price will be.

What do you think about the prices?.

1.)70x24x16 (117 gallons ) = 237.44$
2.)96x48x24 ( 480gallons ) = 789.60$ ( this one imo is not to bad )
3.)70x24x24 ( 174.9gallons ) = 394.8$ ( this one makes me cry ).

Now, these are some of the cheapest prices that I can find on the tanks I want.

I mainly need 2 of the first ones, and 1 of the ( third one ).

But do you think these tanks are worth the price?.

I compared them to the prices on glasscages, and they are hell of alot cheaper, but I still want some oppinions.

The acrylic is 1/2" thick ( which is good for the 24" height ). It will have extra braces around the edges though because if I do get it. It will have a canopy and a nice stand.

and, I'm not exactly trying to breed with this bigger tank :). If anything it becomes a show tank. and my 360 becomes a breeding tank.

If I could get an acrylic 480 gallon with those dimensions and the build quality met my approval I would buy it today no questions asked. I think that is an awesome price. I thought you built your own tanks?

I do :). I calculated the cost of acrylic + my time. which acrylic price went up about a week ago so i was kinda pissed.

But the problem with the 480 is I dont really have room.

Out of those build the 180g, better resale value and more flexible with stocking when you have a 2ft wide tank.

I mean that if you can't build the 480g.

Me and my father will be makeing the tanks ( we built our 360 gallon about a year ago, was also our first attempt. And no leaks or problems as to date ). This time though we actully have the correct equipment and gives us some time to spend together. 2$ a gallon isent bad at all imho.

I also agree about the 180gallon.

Theres always room in the next house for my 480gallon right :).

Thanks for helping me decide everyone.

do you guys ship?
