Cutteri "Rio Jutiapa" pair progression

Yeah, she is FEISTY! Every time the male comes back she makes him go back out again, never leaves the brood. They're very good for first time parents for sure!

Congrats on the spawn. Big fan of the cryptoheros as well. My cutteri haven't spawned in quite some time. I do have two pair of panamensis in the same tank that are both sitting on they're first batch of eggs

Thanks, yeah they are awesome, surprisingly aggressive with ALL other fish (including the Tetras and danios in the tank, relocated to the right side).
 
Thats a good sign!

How is the growth rate on these guys once they're a pair? Is it similar to other cryptos where once they start spawning their growth is slowed because most of their energy is spent spawning?
