Thanks all.

Will be good to catch up Slinky, Wellington to Whangarei sure is a long drive with a young one!

I'll get the dimensions of the steel later today, its a pretty simple design, just six legs, five supports front to back under the tank, and three front to back at the lower level. The last stand they made me was just a box (as opposed to having the legs extending below the lower horizontals), so I was a bit surprised when this one turned up looking like this. Initially I was worried about the weight per leg, even with the concrete floor, but it should be fine [fingers crossed!].

:(

I think one brace wasn't enough, should have had two in line with the baffles on the other side. Cracked the centre partition between the settling chamber and the bio tower.

Good luck with it. I know how it feels to put allot effort into a project to have a demotivating indecent occur.

Quick update, sump has been patched, will give it a week for the silicone to cure then get it running again. Hopefully will be adding fish a couple of weeks after that. Also picked up a group of spotted metynnis today, so the stocking will be as follows;
1 black aro
14 G. altifrons
1 S. leucosticta
1 Heros Sp. 'Rotkeil'
7 Pterophyllum scalare "Peru Altum"
1 Chalceus macrolepidotus
10 Metynnis maculatus
1 Hemiancistrus Sp. L128
~6 Hypancistrus L066
And maybe 5 Royal whiptails, still undecided how they'll do with the big fish.

So its turned into more of a general "south american" tank than a SA cichlid tank, but thats life. I'm still thinking about adding some Uaru, the LFS had 5 small ones that I nearly bought over the weekend, but they sold and then the metynnis arrived...

Can't wait to see it
The 14 altifrons will look great specially with a black aro swimming over head.
