If you want your wife to take a sudden liking to all of your fish tanks, mention to her that the hot girl down at the fish store has been flirting with you ever since you told her how many tanks you have. And then casually mention that her day job is being a divorce lawyer.

I like your thinking :)

:ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:My ex would always encourage my tank enthusiasm. I ended up with like 15 tanks scattered in a 1200 square foot townhouse. Man moving was hell :irked:

Glad to read your not getting totally out of the hobby, sometimes downsizing and "taking a break" is good. I've been thinking about it myself.

I really enjoy my fish and the hobby, but i have to admit she has a point. It has been quite a bit easier now with fewer tanks. I want to get to a point where I have one 8' 240-300 gallon tank and maybe one or two 125 gallon tanks. The problem I'm having closing down the last 2 55s is because I have a red monkey flowerhorn. He is hella aggressive. He cant go in with anything.

shame you have to get rid of some tanks , any befrore pictures ?

My wife likes some of my fish, but would like to see them all go. I was laid off, and am down to 3 tanks. I even gave up one of my favorite fish-an 8'' texas . I couldn't keep that texas w/ anything else either.
The funny thing is that she wants me to get rid of fish, but wants another dog. Dogs are more expensive then fish, well the fish I have anyway.

What size tanks are you down to?
