fishmamma they have black and orange PVC but it costs more, I checked haha. And for clown loaches it's perfect with ins and outs. I'll make sure I put up a pick of the tank and take pics of the PVC I do so you can see the look. I just don't have time to go travel the river and detoxify driftwood. Not until I build a big time will I make sure I have time.

Thanks for the mini research!! Pics ASAP!!:D

Thanks for the comment, as for whats in the tank, obviously the fahaka puffer you see in the pic, but also a albino pleco and a yellow lab who use the cover to hide... although the yellow lab seems to be best friends with my fahaka... most probably coz she's such a messy eater...

Wow, and that combo works out I guess.. well considering the hiding spots. Awesome job!!

Dork! See you rearranged.. looks good as well as plenty of cover..

^ I'm just lucky in a way that there is enough small cave like areas where the fahaka can't get into, so yeah, the hiding spaces definitely helps in that aspect...

If I can ever afford to pay exorbitant prices+shipping for a piece of wood it's going to be more for aesthetics, although I guess it might have the added bonus of being a hiding spot.

both. I like the natural look of wood, but more importantly, my wild discus feel at home. I try to copy mother nature as much as possible.

i don't like any decor or plants

plants are for girls and its a fish tank not a water garden :D

hiding places what for i like to see my fish give them hiding places and you never see the fish why spend $100 on a fish you never see

we don't keep fish we keep water the main thing in fish keeping it to keep the water as clean as possible if you have loads of plants and decor loads of crap gets stuck in it making you water not as clean as it could be without decor

just my opinion why i have just sand fish and water

I don't have plants, but I have nice real rock structures. Gives everyone a place to explore, makes the tank look more interesting, and makes it more challenging when i put grapes in, they sink and it's enriching for them to look and find their fav food. And I have a cave for the fish to escape from the turtles, which doubles as a basking platform.

:iagree: PVC is as ugly as it gets.

No offense PVC cave lovers! :)

:WHOA: JK...:ROFL:!!! I like using pvc for hiding spots but you're right and can be ugly. I also use ceramic skull candle holders. They look cool and are usefull to the fish for hiding. Here are a few pics of what I'm talking about.
