HAHAHA probably 10 years LOL. I literally took over my dad's 55 gal that he wasn't taking care of. I'm not a fan of the substrate either or the decorations, except Benny's log cause he likes it lol.

Trying to decide if I completely redo the tank(sounds like I'll need to) or save up and wait and get a big tank. The first might be better just because he's living there right now.

Its better to save for a bigger tank, but at the same time if you gonna keep the ornate and future poly in that tank, you want it nice and polyproof and poly safe while you dont have a big tank yet, i would start with the gravel and taking out all the plants and the BACKGROUND. Adding stuff you can do it little by little.
