Dempsey or Jaguar

i have 2 dempsys and they are not bullys the are really cool and lot of color
the one is about 7 inches ant the other is 4 and the other fish in the tank is adout 2 to 3 go with the jd you will love them
 
I mean i guess im leaning towards a dempsey but still unsure.

Ppl are saying to wait for the bigger tank first. they are all small fish now and i thought maybe it would be better if they were raised together from when they were small rather then put a dempsey/jag in when they are alot bigger?
 
Your catfish will eat a JD when it get a little bigger. A 125g is no were near large enough for the catfish. You will need a 30" wide tank soon. Less then a year in my opinion. If fed well the catfish and aro should grow 1" or more a month. There is no point in buy a 125g it will just be a very short stepping stone and a waste of money that could have went toward the huge tank that you are going to need in a year. I hope you are planning for atleast 8'X2.5'X2.5'. If not I would rehome the future monsters and get some fish that will stay smaller.

The fish you have are really cool, they just need a huge tank and huge filtration.

well i dont know much about filtration yet and maybe you are right about goin straight for the 300 i dont know the exact measurements but hopefully they are what you meantioned. But i was considering one of those wet dry filters now i have a fluval for the 125g i was preparing to get
