Eventually I want to community him with the rays but I need sell some stock first. My other tanks sit at 80 degrees so I put his at 78 for now as I was told they were raised in 80 degree temp. Like you said it will be less of a shock when I move him. If I get tired of my rays then maybe he can have my second largest tank with some big Mahseer for tankmates as they like the same temps. Wish I would have built a 1000+ gallon tank.They do well in tropical temps as long as their is enough water movement and aeration ... plus I suspect blk wants to eventually community them with his other tropical fish, so keeping them at that temp I think is a good decision so they dont have to deal with the shock once their moved ... mine always hang around the driftwood, so I wouldnt take it out, but if he's not hanging next to it then awesome
