I'd love to make a large river type pond for these guys with some large boulders for them to cling to like on river monsters. Just watched that episode again this past weekend. Awesome how they looked clinging to those rocks. be amazing to recreate that in your home. :) fish would love it too I bet lol.

Yeah dont be fooled by them being a parker! Lol! When theres food (or other fish) in the tank they are both explosively powerful and very fast

Thanks for the comments guys. He is eating which is the best part. I lowered the temp to 78 and moved the power heads to the bottom of the tank. Can't decide if I want to pull the driftwood out of the tank or not.

They do well in tropical temps as long as their is enough water movement and aeration ... plus I suspect blk wants to eventually community them with his other tropical fish, so keeping them at that temp I think is a good decision so they dont have to deal with the shock once their moved ... mine always hang around the driftwood, so I wouldnt take it out, but if he's not hanging next to it then awesome

Little background on the pair of goonch that Mike at exotic aquaria brought in. They were wild caught from Babla River in india. Long term captive and grown out in Taiwan. Both were grown out in their 10ft tank and have been living together since they were juvi.

Maybe I can convince the other owner to sell his goonch to me so I can pair them up again!!

Eventually I want to community him with the rays but I need sell some stock first. My other tanks sit at 80 degrees so I put his at 78 for now as I was told they were raised in 80 degree temp. Like you said it will be less of a shock when I move him. If I get tired of my rays then maybe he can have my second largest tank with some big Mahseer for tankmates as they like the same temps. Wish I would have built a 1000+ gallon tank.
