DID I GET Got?????

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Aquascape has two real nice ones of size but their prices are little high if u ask me($100/$125). Plus green terrors are very common and easy to find. What size would you be looking for?

Sorry boys, but you're wrong. Cich urophthalmus comes from Mexico, Guatamala, and Honduras (and are farm raised in Florida, and are sadly often sold as Festae, or red terrors.

The fish Terry bought was directly imported from Ecuador, by me. And that is a hell of a far swim from Central America.

The fish is a wild female Cichlasoma festae (sub adult), and I will bet the ranch on it.

Mr.G said i could bring it back but im going to keep it or atleast keep it in my circle. He said its a female festae for sure.

When I argue that I am stating a fact. Im not saying its right, but it happens.

And Green Terror also refers to the Gold saum, but we dont call them FALSE green terrors all the time. The FACT that lfs frequently call Mayans Red Terrors is something that is inarguable, because it happens. People shouldnt be relying on common names to get their fish, and this forum helps people distinguish between different species of fish. Getting all fussy about common names isnt gonna teach anyone anything.

Ok, I agree that they are mislabeled a lot and agree that people shouldnt rely on common names.

Original poster, could you post some pics of the fish settled in now, if you still have it? Im curious to see what it looks like.

Heres a female F0 from snook21 I got about a week ago...7" TL & a F0 male from Rapps about 9" TL that she has paired up with. The male from Rapps is about 2-2.5 yrs old and has been a really slow grower.
