All of this uproar started by someone jaywalking?..And about the second clip, what if the young man was an illegal immigrant, would he still be entitled to use this country's legal system?

Not sure what you mean about him being an illegal, cops were dead wrong on that video, further more the guy just took it in stride, he wasn't some piece of **** looking to sue, but the cops should be reprimanded for their behavior.
It's a very difficult job, and gun ho agressive cops should be eliminated from the force as they make their fellow officers look terrible. It usually younger cops that got into the job for all the wrong reasons. Same thing with military, if you get into it just to go shoot or subordinate someone you end up making good officers and soldiers look bad.

I understand what was wrong and what was'nt,I was asking about what I did'nt know and that is,in the case that I described, would he be able to sue?...Is'nt jaywalking what kicked off the whole situation, before the girl became beligerent and butted in?
that's a good question, and i have no idea!

yeah, jaywalking. the cop was in the process of issuing a guy a citation for jaywalking. then he saw these girls do the same thing so he called them over and told them to wait by his car. and it went downhill from there because of their attitudes

Right.Thats what I meant by my first post...I've never heard of anyone being stopped and warned about jaywalking by a Police Officer and it is probably a law that is on the books in most municipalities but to answer the question of your thread,in my opinion the officer was within his rights to do what he did...Now the dummy has been arrested and has a record,if she did'nt already have one.

well i think he did the right thing it seemed like he was getting atacked. Thats all i have to say

he was not getting attacked. he lost his temper and used a hoodlum fight tech to sub due someone.

well it sort off looked like it to me im stil waking up so idk

IMO he did absolutely nothing wrong. However i do not beleive he should be giving citations for jaywalking. A guy was trying to hold back the girl in the pink shirt but she came over and tried to defend her friend which led to him taking on two people. I see nothing wrong with what he did...

Lep cut it out,you know as well as I do that if an officer is talking to someone about a supposed infraction that no one else has the right to but in and give their opinion, that is just how situations get out of hand.

While I don't think the actual punch was necessary. Arrest was justified as she was assaulting the
officer. I do believe he is poorly trained in restraining or just wasn't composed enough to
get her restrained quickly and out of the situation. I am surprised it didn't escalate with a mob mentality.

I agree, i would honestly be afraid if i was the officer becuase of all of the surrounding people. He is lucky more people did not get involved
