Good for them! If she would have cooperated she probably wouldn't have even gotten a ticket. A cop has seen me j-walking actually and just said "for your own saftey you shouldn't do that" and I was respectful, apologetic and he was just like alright have a nice day!

All of this uproar started by someone jaywalking?..And about the second clip,what if the young man was an illegal immigrant,would he still be entitled to use this country's legal system?

this would have been the ideal way to handle it.

but two women, both attacking him and resisting? i think he needed a quick solution to gain the upper hand, and thats why he punched her. there's only so much formal training you can apply to a scenario. sometimes all that has to go out the window and you need to take a more drastic approach.

as i said earlier, what if she or somebody else tried to go for his gun? when you have two people coming at you like that your first instinct is to defend yourself. going for the tazer or can of spray would have taken too long. JMO though

illegal immigrant or not, it wasnt right. he did nothing wrong and did not for once back talk or resist the officers. so if he was illegal, the cop's behavior would have been justified?

and it wasnt jaywalking that started it, it was these girls' behavior. he was gonna cite them for jaywalking (which he was well within his power to do so) and then the girls became uncooperative

Even with 2 people there are alot of techs that could be used without resorting to hoodlum tech to control her. pop her with the tazer. thats why its there. u dont got one, pull the pepper spray.

Im sorry but this was absolutly uncalled for. Man or women this was uncalled for. black, white, asian, native american, hispanic doesnt matter again uncalled for. throw her face first on the hood of ur car and pull the tazer on the other one. a punch is for a fight NOT gaining control of suspect

I understand what was wrong and what was'nt,I was asking about what I did'nt know and that is,in the case that I described,would he be able to sue?...Is'nt jaywalking what kicked off the whole situation,before the girl became beligerent and butted in?
