dude if u got a 300 g tank and you get all the pikes when they are babies and dont get any breeding pairs then they will do just fine if you get them all about same size tho they must be very small im talkin 2" cuz ive seen 2 xingu 1's and some other type i cant identify work with 2 peacock bass all grown up as juvies to adults with some fights but no kills in a 220g but this was a while ago like 3 years. also you could do like 3 or 4 pikes 2 n 1 or 2 n 2 of dif species that get about the same size and grow em up as juvies and have lots of broken eye sight like lots of logs pvc pipe and clay pots, and caves at least 1 for each of the pikes then it will be fine. and yes convicts and even firemouths will be good as dithers to provide a free live food like every few weeks or maybe more ive never had convicts but firemouths ya. you want fish that can fight back otherwise it will just end up food basically like ive kept 2 jag's from 1.5" juvies to bout 5" with a sveni in a 55g tank(grow out) and it worked just fine the pike was the king of the tank and was 2" when i got the jags and ended up about 5.5" only thing went wrong is pike chocked on some live food just thought it would be nice to help their predatory instincts(only did it once a month) and my 5.5" sveni chocked on the smallest ive ever seen rosey's. im talkin .75" to 2" roseys they ate all but 2 by the time i found the pike with 2 rosey heads sticking out of his mouth and now its just chaos in my tank.
neways ppl sorry long damn near blog
Sincerely yours im drunk!!

gold wolves are non aggressive.
i see a gold wolf being killed by pikes rather than pikes being killed by gold wolves.

damn thats a heavy bioload in a 90 reminds me of my 55.

whatever you decide to do keep us informed and let us know how it goes for ya. you can always just try things and hope for the best, so long as you have a spare tank handy.

Would the wolf be fine for a while since he's 11" and the pikes are all smaller? I could move the wolf to a 75 until I get a 125, couldn't I?

I have a spare 75 right now, but working on getting a 125 or something...

the wolf at 11 inches will eat a pike under 6-7 inches for sure. just too easy for it to do so it will. you would have the best chance if there the same size but which ever one will grow faster you would want to be a little bit smaller. not alot just a little or the other one will eat it for sure. but its up to you. if you want to buy your 11" wolf fish really expensive food thats your thing.
