Dirty Fish

The carnivore plecos like I have are not any dirtier than other fish their size. I have L-114 and L-14. Now commons are a differant story.

I wonder if it's due to their digestive system or that Goldfish and Koa fish food is typically low quality with lots of undigestable fillers like soy, wheat, corn, etc.

Since we also control the quality of food, feeding goldfish and Koi 100% digestible food (NLS is close) will make them pooh far less. In fact my fish are feed primarily NLS and I find very little pooh on my black sand.

I would say pleco's are the dirtiest with there diet of fresh and blanched vegetables.

goldfish(not feeders!!).. i feed my oscars only pellets (sometimes block of bloodworms) and theyre not as bad as the fan tail bubblehead things i have.
